New Year New You! With our Christmas celebrations over, we now move on to New Year’s festivities.
Here at Our Lady of Hope we welcomed thousands of visitors to our Parish for Christmas Eve and Day Masses, many of whom are regular faithful Parishioners but also a good number of visitors who regularly do not attend Mass on a weekly basis. It serves as a powerful reminder to be a welcoming and warm community and that is exactly what Our Lady of Hope Church is for our visitors. Thanks for your generosity and support not only at Christmas time but all year long.
At this time people also reflect on changing attitudes and behaviors and make New Year’s resolutions. While this is important it’s also good to remember that we don’t have to wait until January 1st to set new goals for personal, physical and spiritual growth.
Each day with the grace of the Holy Spirit we can grow and make small progress in changing those attitudes and behaviors that inhibit us from becoming the person that God wants us to be.
As we embark on a New Year, let us remember that change can be challenging but with God’s help we can move forward in confidence that His Spur will give us the strength to keep moving forward and if we stumble, fail or screw up, all we need to do is pick ourselves up and make another attempt knowing that God lifts us open and walks by our side in this journey called life.
God bless and a Happy, Holy 2025!
All the best!
